Event Rules
This is a veterans & military events board — not a community events board. Every event must serve veterans, service members, their families, or be hosted by an organization that supports them.
Veteran & Military Focused — Only
The Oklahoma Veterans Calendar exists for veterans, service members, military families, and the organizations that support them. If your event isn't for that community, this isn't the board for it. Every submission is reviewed against this standard before it goes live.
Eligible
Veteran & military-focused organizations and events — that's the test.
- Events hosted by veteran- or military-focused organizations (VFW, American Legion, VA, nonprofits, and more)
- Social Rally Points, cookouts, and peer-connection gatherings for veterans
- Job clubs, hiring events, and career fairs for veterans and military spouses
- VA benefits and claims clinics
- Ceremonies, color guards, and honors observances
- Fundraisers where proceeds support veteran or military programs
- Outdoor therapy, fishing derbies, and sporting events for veterans
- Training and education for veterans, service members, or their caregivers
Not Eligible
Not veteran, military, or supporting them? It doesn't belong here.
- Any event that is not veteran or military focused, or hosted by an organization that supports them — no exceptions
- General community events with no veteran or military service element
- Purely commercial or for-profit promotions
- Partisan political campaigning
- Events already posted (check before submitting)
- Anything that excludes or disparages service members
Submission checklist
- A clear, descriptive event title (organization + event name)
- Specific start and end times
- The full venue address, or note if the event is virtual/online
- A short description of what attendees can expect
- An event contact so we can confirm details
All public submissions are reviewed before they appear on the calendar.
