How does ice hockey help heal?
​
It brings brothers and sisters back into the fold, to experience the type of camaraderie we did while serving. It gets Veterans off of couches and promotes physical activity which fights symptoms of depression....and it's a whole of a lot of fun. It also strengthens core muscles and legs while promoting balance and sharpening cognitive ability, as hockey is one of the most fast paced games out there.

Our program falls under the USA Hockey Warrior Hockey Program which has teams all across the country, with several in our part of the country, which we will travel to play against. As well as host our own tournaments here in Tulsa.
​
We are currently seeking Disabled Veterans, Active Duty Military, people with disabilities, and first responders that are interested in playing. Never played ice hockey before? No problem. Our Player Development Coordinator is a USA Hockey certified coach. Never skated? We can help with that too.

Who are the Tulsa Warriors?

We are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. We understand the HONOR and SACRIFICE that was necessary to serve this great country and its citizens in defense of its freedom and liberty.
​
We also each have testimony to how the power of ICE HOCKEY has played a role in our personal healing as well as those of our veteran brothers and sisters.
​
It is our DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY to our fellow veterans to establish a program here in Green Country to bring the great game of ice hockey to them. Our goal is creating an avenue for HEALING and restoring CONFIDENCE in our honored veterans.
​
We are the TULSA WARRIORS HOCKEY CLUB, and we believe that HOCKEY HEALS!
