OKVeteransCalendar.com Event Submission Rules

To maintain the mission of OKVeteransCalendar.com as a dedicated resource for service members, veterans, and their families, all submitted events must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Focus on Veterans and Service Members

  • Eligible Events: Submissions must primarily serve or support veterans, active-duty service members, their families, or veteran-support organizations.
    Examples: VA claims workshops, job fairs for veterans, support group meetings, VSO or veteran-specific fundraising events, mental health seminars for service members, etc.
  • Ineligible Events: General community events that are not explicitly veteran-focused or do not have a direct veteran-service member element.

2. Required Event Information

All event submissions must include:

  • Title: A clear and descriptive event title.
  • Date and Time: The specific start and end time.
  • Location: Full address of the venue or indication of a virtual/online event.
  • Purpose: A brief description detailing how the event supports or benefits the veteran and service member community.
  • Registration/Signup Details: Include links or instructions for event registration if applicable.

3. Event Criteria

  • Events must align with the mission of supporting veterans, service members, and their families.
  • Recurring events must be relevant to the veteran community and submitted with proper dates and intervals.

4. Approval Process

  • All events will be reviewed to ensure they meet these guidelines. Events not aligned with the mission may be rejected.
  • Allow up to one business day for event approval unless you have an admin account, which allows your admin to update & approve for immediate posting.

5. Organization Tags

  • If submitting events on behalf of an organization, ensure to use that organization's tag on OKVeteransCalendar.com.
  • To request a tag, email info@eagleops.org with your organization’s details (name, address, website, bio, and primary contact information).

6. Advertising Opportunities

  • While listing events is free, organizations can inquire about advertising opportunities to further promote their initiatives.

7. Prohibited Submissions

  • Events unrelated to veterans, service members, or their families.
  • General community events without a clear connection to the veteran community.
  • Political or religious events unless explicitly focused on veterans or military culture.
